This is in reference to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) letter dated 10.01.2025 requesting the Ministry to extend the timeline for filing annual returns by producers for FY 2023-24 by 31.03.2025.
The Ministry vide Order dated 12.11.2024 and 10.07.2024 had extended the timeline for filing of Annual Returns for FY 2023-24 by producers till 31.12.2024 as against the timeline of 30th June, as prescribed under sub-rule (11) of rule 4 of Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022.
Based on the request of CPCB and in the exercise of sub-rule (6) of rule 13 of the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022, the Central Government hereby extends the timeline for filing of Annual Returns by producers of batteries for FY 2023-24 till 31.03.2025.
This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
