Nothing’s First Smartwatch Receives BIS Certification in India

Nothing getting BIS

Nothing, the London-based consumer technology brand, has received BIS certification for its first smartwatch. The smartwatch, which has the model number D395, was spotted on the BIS website by tipster Mukul Sharma.

The BIS certification does not reveal any details about the smartwatch’s features or specifications. However, it is likely that Nothing will release more information about the smartwatch in the coming weeks.

This is not the first time that Nothing has hinted at the development of a smartwatch. In February, the company filed a trademark application for the name “CMF by Nothing.” CMF stands for “color, material, and finish.” This suggests that the smartwatch will have a unique design.

Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, has also expressed his interest in the smartwatch market. In a tweet, Pei said that he bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro to “learn about the product category.” However, he was not impressed with the watch, calling it “useless.”

It remains to be seen what features and specifications Nothing will include in its first smartwatch. However, the BIS certification is a positive sign that the smartwatch is nearing release.

Will Nothing’s Smartwatch Challenge the Competition?

The smartwatch market is crowded, with Apple, Samsung, and Garmin leading the way. However, Nothing has the potential to challenge the competition with its unique design and focus on user experience.

Nothing’s first smartwatch is likely to be priced competitively, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers. The watch is also likely to be compatible with a wide range of Android and iOS devices.

If Nothing can deliver a smartwatch with a great design, user-friendly interface, and competitive pricing, it could be a success in the market.
